Was the Lebron James' end of game and over-time performance against Detroit the greatest in NBA

It's hard to name the absolute best singular performance, but if I had to I'd pick one it would be Magic Johnson's 42 point, 15 rebound, 7 assist game as a rookie in the deciding game of the NBA Finals. Lebron's performance is right up there with that one. Who else can you remember scoring that many consecutive points (25) in a deciding game, in such crucial situations, against a solid veteran team in the conference finals?

Other performances worth mentioning is Elgin Baylors 61 point game in the Finals (but they lost that game and the NBA was still young in the 60's) and Michael Jordan's 35 point, 6 three pointer half. Isiah Thomas and Reggie Miller both scored 25 in a single quarter in the playoffs. Those are the only ones I can think of, but Lebron's performance has put him in the company of legends.

I think so. He scored the last 25 points for his team.

no
Only for Cavs fans. His performance is barely top 20 by overall playoff history standards.
More like Detroit pulled off one of the biggest defensive choke jobs in playoff history. Letting one guy score his teams last 25 points, some of them even by just going to the basket untouched is kinda sad especially for a top defensive team.
No, but definitley im my top 10. Along with Michael Jordan, Bill Russell,Reggie Miller, and Magic Johnson
NOT the greatest. But, pretty good.
Yes I think Lebron in now the man, his game was so great that I think it passes Magic Johnson's Championship game heroics and Michael Jordan's, Willis Reed, Isiah Thomas, and the others.
maybe not the greatest but one of the greatest the only reason it is not the greatest is because it didnt win the series yet and it wasnt the finals while the performance itself may have been the greatest the importance also comes into factor
Maybe not. Michael Jordan might have something to say about that. One great game from Lebron shouldn't make us forget the great performances by MJ.

But Lebron's performance is legend material. It's really amazing and spectacular. And considering the fact that he is just 22, has never been in the nba conference finals before, and having the Detroit Pistons as opponents make his performance an out-of-this-world one. It's just unbelievable and you couldn't ask for a better game than that.
totally, we all forgive him for that end game pass a couple of games back
It was very good but not the best ever. It wasn't the best numbers-wise. It wasn't an elimination game. It wasn't the Finals. It was very impressive, though.
Not even close, the refs handed them that game. Why don't all you losers that obviously don't know anything about the NBA besides Lebron James get off his nuts.
It will have to be at a minimum in the top three performances of all time.
yeah
